At least not any time soon. 9x19 Parabellum is too firmly entrenched in the logistics chain of too many allied countries for a widespread adaptation of a new round.

Weapons that make more sense for the PDW role logistically include the Israeli Tavor and the Belgian FN F2000.

The 9mm handgun will continue to serve as a Sniper Target Designator Officer and SNCO sidearm for the foreseeable future.
