part of the versions with those features, the TrueVector engine is still used for firewall components.

Worth giving the Kapersky FW a shot though, the Windows FW didn't get much better for the Vista and Defender releases - outbound protection is still practically non-existent.
And if you're on an NAT serviced connection the inbound side of a FW will rarely have an event anyway, it'll only be of real use if another computer on the network gets compromised.
