Is impressed at how well the UPS daemon works	by abaron	2008-05-05 23:10:33
Had a power outage here this afternoon, not sure how long it was out for, but my UPS reported it was running on batteries at 13:42 and then reported that it was at the limit of it's batteries at 13:48 and shut down my server gracefully. The UPS daemon was very easy to configure even with my cheapy APC BackUPS UPS. Apparently running just the server (AMD Athlon XP2500, 2 HDs no monitor) 500VA will get me 8 minutes + reserve, not too bad.
