I was expected to make dinner. No problem right? But everyone wanted spaghetti with tomato sauce. Easy Peasy! a jar of sauce and some boiling water for the pasta. Whoops, no sauce available. No car available to go get some sauce. I eneded up creating a spaghetti sauce using a reduction of V-8 juice and some tomato paste. I used a lot of basil to cover up the V-8 flavors. Olives (green with pimento, and black spanish olives) Not the best sauce I've ever created, but it actually turned out pretty good. Well, edible anyway. Next time something like this happens I'm going to ask the neighbors for a jar of sauce. That was a lot of work for about 2 quarts of mediocre sauce.
