I wasn't a big comic book kid growing up; I knew the general premise, but no details.
This movie very easily ranks up there with the original Christopher Reeves Superman, Tim Burton/Michael Keaton Batman, the recent Superman Returns, and Batman Begins. I must say that Downey was the PERFECT choice for the character, and the very last line of the movie is both totally unexpected, and at the same time, absolutely well done and in character.
I guess this means that the next hero movie I like will be the remake of this in 20 years.... |
