PC hardware observation by SaylorA 2008-05-05 09:52:25
I've got 2 512 DDR 400 ECC memory sticks here at work and I decided to see if they would work in my office machine which currently has 2 512 DDR 333 non-ECC sticks. So after swapping them, I find the machine is now running approximately 8% slower. I had always heard that ECC memory was slower, but I would not have thought it was that much slower.

If your PC doesn't need ECC, then don't use it by imrambi2008-05-05 09:56:02
