I just got word that my aunt died, today at 12:27pm.
She was admitted to the hospital yesterday, and during a gastroscopy doctors found multiple (so I'm told) esophageal ulcers, and during the process, they puncture a vein, and are unable to stop the bleeding. She was really weak, and what little could be done wasn't enough. At 12:00pm the shut off the ventilator, and the heart stopped at 12:27pm.
She has been getting still worse over the last decade, and last summer she gave up on life.
My thoughts go to my cousins and my grandmother (children and mother of my aunt, respectively), whom has been heavily loaded by her deterioration.
My parents, my other aunt and my cousin was present when she died.
As my cousin said: "She was in a lot of pain at the end, and now she has peace."
