OK, I'm getting a bit frustrated with Linux. by Peace_man 2008-05-05 07:05:35
It really shouldn't be that difficult to add a printer! I'm trying to add a HP Color Laserjet 2605dn. I downloaded and installed the printer driver, and tried to set up the printer using CUPS. In order to install the printer I have to enter a URI. What on Earth is a URI, and why would I be expected to know what it is for this printer? I know what its IP address is, but apparently that's only part of it.

Help?
