I the ISP's techs over today to look	by chrisbee	2008-05-05 07:02:02
at my connection dropouts. They don't speak more than a few words of English and I don't speak more than a few words of Indonesian and the interpretor has no tech knowledge. First they inspected the cable and objected that one of the little retaining bits on a plug was broken. (that's not the problem!!) I finally got them to look at the screen where I showed them the log in screen to my Linksys AM300 modem and then (fortunately) the service dropout occurred and I logged into some one else'e DLink 520 T modem while they watched. I hope that the suddenly animated remarks mean they grokked the problem!! They did promise to come back tomorrow. I hope they talk to a good network guy in the meantime!!
