Many TFTs I've seen have very poor color consistency because of the viewing angle problem. But true, if the viewing angle is very high, color consistency is better.
Energy efficiency is not always better. TFT's always use their full power rating, because the backlight is on. CRTs do not. It's very possible that for TV's, which don't display white all the time, average power usage is lower.
At 100 Hz, I find my T766 very comfortable. No more or less so than a TFT. When you wave your hand before a TFT, you still get a stroboscope-like effect, so it's not the "painting-like stillness" marketing would have us believe.
Deskspace, true, but I have plenty. I have other space demanding equipment, which is far better than their space saving counterparts...
Connecting a TFT with VGA is not smart, true, but because a CRT being analog is an advantage is my eyes, connecting it with an analog plug makes perfect sense. My T766 portrays none of the usual analog errors many cheap screens have.
CRT's (the tube itself), especially Trinitron ones, are very fragile, so be careful with the kicking. I won't let you near mine :).
You know, we could argue all day about the differences, but we all have our opinions, I guess. I prefer my CRT, and all of my friends who see it all say they can see why.
