Now, I do understand the point you're making, and if it were in a situation like the surgery described as an analogy, I would likely agree.
My argument is that in this particular situation, where you have the 2 drugs, 2 babies, and one drug will save the babies and one will kill, that it is entirely unfair to expect the parents to shoulder that responsibility. Most parents are not able, or capable of doing that properly, and I'm not sure they should be. It sucks that the Dr should have to shoulder it, but for them, it's part of the job.
