| Howard Dean wants one candidate to drop out by June.
It really loses my respect for the Democratic Party - that he wants to break their own rules for the sake of expediency. As long as there is no clear winner (and even then, it should be at the sole discretion of the losing candidate) there should not be any way to force one candidate to resign the race. This is an insult to all those who voted for whichever candidate Howard wants to force to resign.
OK, so he wants to do it by having the last 300 super delegates declare their choice. But IMO it still interferes too much with proper protocol. There are rules - and if you don't respect your own rules, you lose credibility. |
