Of course, it is possible that a few rotten apples are taken as representative of an entire nations' forces, or even of all UN forces, and condemns them? If this is what people want to hear, then I'm sure the news media will be happy to oblige.
Of course, another way to take this story would be to focus on the good that UN troops can do, and take stories like the one you posted as incentive to create better safeguards against corruption. Or would that be giving the UN too much credit? |
