Infecting the youth with crud you'd not want holding up your wobbly coffee table? Evil, I say!

That being said, I *am* curious to see what comes out of this highly-emotional twist of a great series of games. Not certain to pick it up - I've been in too many games over too many years - but clever ideas are clever regardless of what crud encapsulates 'em.

I *am* curious to see how the bonus HP and suchlike at 1st level make the game different however. I'm concerned that the unplayable high-level battles ("you hit him for the fifteenth time, and you've finally busted through his mystic defenses! On his turn, he disappears, leaving a glowing red gem behind what starts to smoke .... just before it goes ka-booom!") will just be moved to a lower level - say, 9 instead of 15ish.

Also, will probably make mook swarms more dangerous... *grin* Return of the Fear of the Kobold perhaps?
