Highland town was once blue collar working class folks when blacks started moving in they (whites) started moving out. Now hispanics are moving in and Black folk are moving out. ALL over Baltimore city this happened from about 1960 on. I can safely say this is one of the reasons my Great Grandfather finally moved his shop up to Aberdeen Full time.
You can see it happening here now too. In Edgewood and In Aberdeen.
