The US is not filled to overflowing with drive-by shootings and kids wearing "bling". There is a subset culture that has that, but it's not representative of our country any more than Britain is represented by it football hooligans. I'll try to leave my contribution to this thread with a suggestion that it's probably not useful for folks on either side of the pond to ascribe blanket characterizations and stereotypes onto each other. It just seems to get folks unnecessarily irritated. ;)
