the "incidentals" for a film photography class is bound to be much higher as there are a lot of consumables. Digital photography has a steep initial outlay, but once you have the camera and software, your only consumables cost is printer paper and ink. Also you will likely use much more of a digital class with a D80 than you would in a film orientated class.
