If you don't pay attention, then you'll get an 18bit LCD. However, a few reviews will immediately tell you whether the LCD you're interested in is a full 24bit color or not.

Linearity is not an issue once you've calibrated your monitor.

The rest are matters of personal preference, so I can't comment too much on them. Personally, I think you're painting all LCDs with the broad brush of a bad LCD. BUT, I don't know your situation..

I stare at photographic images, and I like mine. :)
