The reality *is* that things have changed over the years and in a lot of ways, for the worse when it comes to how we deal with issues similar to the ones in the TLP. OTOH, as you pointed out, we also recognize and deal with issues that were kinda glossed-over in fuzzy, "everything's okay" attitude we had in the past.
We can't really go back to the times past, even *if* we could revive them and even *if* we could fix some of the problems that were inherent to those days. But we *can* learn from our present and past to find better ways of handling things. |
