This is not just a 19" screen. This Eizo T766 has a far, far superior image quality compared to any screen I've seen, including other Eizo T766's. I despise TFT and I will endeavor to never got one... I'm willing to throw a couple of hundred euros at it to repair it.
But anyway, if it's a crack on the PCB, it won't turn blue, because it will cause the cathode to float. It's pulled to ground, turning it on, making even the retrace lines visible. And because with disconnected gun, the fault persists, it seems pretty clear the fault is in the CRT.
And lastly, cracked PCB traces are the most simple thing to repair. I've done so countless times. I've even repaired broken PCB's. |
