DO NOT TALK TO THE DJ DURING A SET DO NOT APPROACH THE "BOOTH" DURING A SET during the set ask the bartender what the DJ is drinking then as the set ends get one and bring to the DJ chat up the DJ (if in chatting mood) best way to get a requested song 1 make sure the DJ has the song (No Country during a Pop type event) 2 be as exact as possible (song name by singer/group version) 3 write it down (to prevent mis cues) 4 wrap the note in a 20 bill (make sure the note is visible) 5 GIVE TO DJ BETWEEN SETS
