Taking my mother to the hospital in the morning for a hip replacement. She's 76 years old. She's in pretty good health, but promises to be a handful when she gets out of the hospital on Friday: She should go to a rehab center. She wants to go home. There is an excellent rehab center not too far from where we live. I have yet to hear a bad report about it. In fact, I've heard several reports that it doesn't smell like a "nursing home". This'll be my first time telling my mother what to do instead of the other way around. We'll see what happens. She'll get better faster if she spends a couple of weeks rehabilitating three times a day instead of three times a week like she'll get if she goes straight home. Good thoughts and prayers requested.
