I've done Houston through and roundabout, by themadkansan2008-04-07 19:00:24
Houston was the worst part of that too, wasn't it? by merlin2008-04-07 19:04:07
That was where I got drilled by the 'Burban. by themadkansan 2008-04-07 19:18:24
Someone ahead of us at a stoplight bailed out of a van and ran across the street just after the light turned green and everyone started rolling - mass brakestomp ensued, barely missed the person in front of me, looked in rearview mirror just in time to brace for the 'Burban - old guy driving didn't twig to the gist in time.

Bed got pounded into the back of the cab, seized the passenger-side door shut, steel step-bumper got beercanned clear up under the bed.

Probably jostled something loose on the motor, too - didn't want to idle after that, had to fight it all the way home, 12 hours of driving.
