Used the insurance money to buy my first RX7. by themadkansan 2008-04-07 19:11:49
Motor ran, but wouldn't move, they thought the gearbox was shredded; towed it home, blocked it up, dropped the gearbox out and was showered with bits of blown-up clutchplate when I popped the clutch cover off.

Went and bought new clutchplate, cobbled an alignment tool up and bolted clutch back together, fiddled gearbox back into place, checked for extra bolts leftover, dropped off blocks, stomped clutch a few times to work everything out straight, fired off the motor, did a clutch-drop smokeshot in the driveway to see if it was going to come apart - nothing gave, so went off a-helling.

Wish I could find another one. :(
