I *love* it when spammers tell me by notdeadyet2008-04-07 13:51:28
Spammers are losing interest in me... by swisscheese 2008-04-07 15:06:49
It took a while. I made the mistake last christmass, of passing on my "real" email address to my brother -- it turns out that he's still running Win'98 (his box is that old too) and admits to not running AV, etc.

Shortly after that, I started getting as much spam every day as I used to get in a week or two (or even a month). A week or so ago though, a marked change occurred -- all the "little blue pill" and "enhancement" product spam was replaced with spam for "luxury goods", and the numbers for that has been dropping steadily too.

Maybe it's because I never click, use Thunderbird, on Linux, and have my account set to only download headers -- if it looks good, I can fetch the rest; if I understand this right, as far as the spammers can tell, this spam-mail never gets delivered.

Am I kidding myself?
