...who works in one of the super-secret data centers. Every time I have issues with any Google product, I immediately email him with a "Hey, Google [product xyz] is slow right now, can you throw in a few dozen more servers?"
He though it was funny the first time.
Not so much, now.
It's funny, he was one of the first employees at this data center (and the only one on "day one" that was a local-hire, not a transplant from California,) and he has sucked three more of our friends in. Most recently, the wife of a previous-hire. What's funny is that the wife got hired as a higher-level tech than the husband! (And she is in graduate school going for a history/archaeology degree!) |
