The estimates of the total seem to be in the 5-6 million region but then numbers for the main camps is closer to the 4 million mark. Plus I'm sure you could shift the numbers a lot by counting differently if you wanted to. Any disabled Jewish people? What about gay Jews, polish Jews? Do you say that they were killed for their religion or for other reasons? You have about 10 million people to count, by changing the order of precedence that you categorizes them by you could come up with a fairly large range of numbers for any given group.
