All of the 4 common versions have serious Martial aspects to them. The Chen style (that I study) is the most martial of them and is generally considered the original form. Don't let the soft and slow motions and the health benifits make you think any differently. A Tai Chi master is a very dangerous opponent. As a side note, most Tai Chi Practicioners are aslo interested in Herbalism and Body wellnes.
