separated from the martial aspect. I could be wrong, but my understanding is that Ta'i Chi is still based on the martial aspects of martial arts, but that it's slower and more meditative. If you sped it up, I think it can still apply as a martial art.
Otherwise, it would provide all but one of the same benefits. Competition. Beyond that, people will still have their preferences as to which martial art they prefer. Asking if Ta'i Chi is enough is sort of like asking, "Isn't Da Vinci's work enough? Why do we need Michaelangelo's?" |
