I've been asking some people who work faster than me on certain things, how they do it.

There is never a concrete answer. From my own personal observation, speed just comes to those people naturally. But there are still some things that can be quantified. Like the love of what you do and practice. Having an obsession about what you do may help here or may hinder things.
