| I don't have a zero tolerance policy for this. If someone has to take a call in public, then so be it. If they are able to excuse themselves to a more appropriate area, then they should do so, if not, then so be it. I don't really care either way, so long as the call is important or significant in some way. This doesn't matter so much if they are able to excuse themselves, unless I'm one of their party.
What does bother me is extended, casual (especially personal) conversations in public. The subway is not your living room couch!
What's even more annoying than that is when a person repeats almost everything they say. "This wasn't the first time I smacked her . . . this wasn't the first time I smacked her . . . I smacked her on Friday . . . I smacked her on Friday . . . He don't know [sic] . . . I said, he don't know . . ." ad nauseating.
