I spent a good part of the day on my feet. I was working in my workshop, with a concrete floor. I think I need to look into getting some mats for in front of the workbench & table saw area. Putting them elsewhere would make moving the tools rather difficult.
My workshop occupies half of a two car garage at my mom's rental house (as in it's an investment property, she doesn't live there). This is the house I gre up in and it around the corner from where I live now, making it somewhat convenient.
Eventually, when I save up enough money, I will build my own shop at the end of my yard. I already have a basic design - 20 x 30 (feet) with an 11 - 12 foot ceiling. This will enable me to easily handle 'standard' sized lumber (I.E. 8 foot pieces). Dust collections and shop air throughout, and a plywood floor - making it a bit easier to walk on.
Until I have the funds to get the structure built, though, I will continue to work in the temporary space. Most of my projects thus far have been things for the shop. Once I update my shop blog, I'll post a link. |
