They ring, then hang up when they recognise human speech, then someone or a different machine rings back to sell us something.
I now have 2 policies. 1) if the number is 0845 or comes up as 'unknown' on the Caller ID, it does not get answered. (unknown = foreign. Private= uk based and hiding their number = i may answer if i havent argued with my mother recently...)
Yeah Unfair, if your on a privacy list here, you should not get cold calls, however this only applies to UK companies. Foreign companies, noone has power to stop em, and I'll bet that yours come from, eg Nigeria. |
