I've been using Intuit's TurboTax For The Web for the past several years, through the Tax Freedom Project website - If you make less than a certain amount, you can get your federal taxes done and filed electronically for free, and several states are in the Free File Alliance, so you can e-file your state returns for free there, too - if it's not free for state, TTFW only charges something like $9.95 to e-file your state return.
TTFW is very thorough about going through everything that might get you more money back, and easy to use - just need all your tax documents handy, and it will prompt you for what it needs as necessary.
