What good does this "Earth Hour" do? Lights off for an hour, in the middle of a (northern hemisphere) Spring evening on a weekend. Is the goal to hurt someone or some entity? It won't. Is the goal to save fossil fuel? It won't. Is the goal to cut down on greenhouse gasses? It won't. (My estimation)Is the goal to make people who believe intentions alone are worthy of estimation feel good about their own self-righteousness while taking a symbolic step that does nothing in reality other than inconvenience themselves? Bingo.
