So... the (l)users don't want IT messing with "their" systems, and that's why they shut the systems down at night and over the weekend, instead of just logging out. So you tell them "fine, you clean the next virus that spreads from your system because you don't have the right defs.". "Well why don't you just update it while the systems on." "Because then you scream bloody murder about how slow your system is!" "Well I just don't want you IT guys messing with MY system!"

You know why IT guys don't go postal as much as others? Because the stress kills us before we can GO postal! Our users are additionally protected because every single thing I do is remote. They ever figure out a way for me to remotely send a 1 amp current for a user, though, they'll be fried and and I'll be Bubbas roommate before you know it!

Never has "kill them all, God will know his own" looked so good.
