I was never taught that the "clocks" die during mating. I wonder what the simulation would do if that the worst clock was put back into the pool. It would also increase the probability exponentially.

I also liked it how he stated that look at the changes, see, they would not appear. If you extrapolate is 3 day results into billions of years, that little bit would appear in the fossil record. According to wikipedia, the earth is 4.6 billion years old. Say those burps are a total of %1 of the record.

So 4600000000 * .01 = 46000000 years.
how about %0.01 (0.0001) = 460000 years

So things that lived for 460 thousand years would have no fossil record? Thats hard to believe.
