  I don't get why someone would travel to a land by taitano 2008-03-20 11:02:33
that speaks another language and get offended when the locals don't speak their language. The people who would get offended by this guy are probably those people. Vagabonds and travelers like me call them "tourists" and we use the term as an insult amongst ourselves.

I've never met a foreigner who was truly offended - frustrated, yes, but not offended - by someone not speaking their language. Yet, I have met many an American who was irate that the Vintner in rural France, who sees an American perhaps once a month, doesn't speak English.
