Why can't I see LPT1: in my device manager? by Hieraco 2008-03-20 09:36:54
My Printer shows up in Printers & Faxes, but there is no sign of the printer or parallel port on the device manager. Test printing fails. Microsoft help doesn't. I've tried reinstalling drivers (fail)I've looked for a way to remove hardware & drivers and can't find any indications of how or why.....

Anyone want to take on this project? (Last result may be to get out the $500 thermal USB printer, but I am not sure I want to play with all the packing boxes quite yet.)
