... when I leave for more than a few minutes and don't need it. Took quite some tweaking to disable all the screen blanking in Linux, too, since when I WANT the monitor to be on it's because I want to have an eye on scrolling logs/compiles etc. when I watch TV on weekends and do some patching/conversion/ via VPN at work and I want to see when it's finished and/or runs into errors.
