technically speaking bit is the wrong word, being that it stands for Binart digIT, I propose tit (Trinary digIT) or to avoid confusion, trit (TRinary digIT). Yes, I know it's not Friday but tomorrow's for me is a public holiday so today is as good as Friday ;o)
