Sure we'll miss Clarke...
...but sometimes you have to remember to be glad for a life well lived,
and the contributions made for the rest of us, and not focus on the moment of his passing.

What about other significant people of the past?
Da Vinci... Michelangelo... Edison... Shakespeare...
Is it relevant to mourn the fact that these "greats" eventually died?
Or more appropriate to be glad that they accomplished so much with their time
and talents... and hope that we could, in some small way, strive to do likewise.

So-- instead of "what a loss" I say "what a gift of brilliance!"
( may his life's work shine as another bright star in the constellations of our culture )


The "loss" would have been if he had never lived to achieve those things.
So... what are WE doing with OUR 30,000 days on the planet?
