I jumped on a refurbed MacBook a few weeks ago, making sure it was Intel based. There are just some Windows progs I couldn't make myself give up cold turkey. Result is I now have a laptop that runs Mac OS X, Win XP Pro, and Ubuntu 7 - and can do so all at the same time with the 4GB of RAM it has. Do I need to be able to run all three? No, but it sure is fun! My next experiment will probably be to put in Win 98SE so I can run a few old games that won't work on XP+.
