| I'm not sure what your asking. I want everything networked to go through a particular proxy, The proxy I'm referring to is an IP address ala 127.0.0.1 on port 8000. So in the network manager when I put into the proxy 127.0.0.1:8000 it becomes http://127.0.0.1:8000 which causes it to fail. It's a pain to have to enter it into everything, but I guess I have to live with it. So far Thunderbird,gaim,firefox,mythtv, and synaptic had to be configured on their own. Anyway, everyone can forget it now. I just thought Linux was more user-friendly now. |
