My husband has taken care of quads of varying degrees both in the use of hands/arms and the ability to breath on their own. The hand controls for autos are also quite good these days but typically the autos in question have to be modified for the quad driver. Which, if the deputy hadn't believed him, should have been what she checked rather than dumping the guy on his face. :P
