I see you've only been here a few days, so I apologize for assuming, but when I post a news article, I post a link to it. Too often things are presented as fact when they are merely hearsay. CBC or not, it was not easily discovered as they had no reference to it.

So yes, it appeared to have been a hatchet-job by a radio talk-show host that had no supporting facts.
And I have no doubt that racial profiling is going on, and I agree with it.
If you are a caucasian or even oriental, you have very slim chances of encountering this sort of search. So posting that it is widespread and everyone gets searched that way is simply not supported by any of your sources. The Post article stated that nearly all were Muslim and/or of Middle-eastern descent.
