of data gathered by US intelligence (eg Echelon) for commercial espionage. European countries have already expressed concerns and suspicion about US trustworthiness in this regard. There's also the explicit legal framework in the US now, to make private data available to the US government regardless of contract or privacy rights, even if it's not US owned data (eg. Canadian health-care/medical data processed by US companies comes readily to mind).
