So if you want to work on a proposal by Silverfire 2008-02-13 10:45:29
in route you need to use pen and paper to do your Powerpoint presentation. Yeah like that'll work. :P

Also many small business do not have a VPN and cannot afford to install one. Why should I, for example, as a single person business have to have a VPN? Why shouldn't I be able to take all the necessary data, working documents and client information with me? Why should I have to spend the money to invest in a high speed internet connection, ie fractional T3 or equivalent, in order to do business?

Also whats to keep them from going thru the USB key when they go thru your luggage?? Nada.

Its BS that you would have to borrow equipment from your client or third party in order to function between countries. Frankly, this suggestion is unworkable and short sighted at best.

That and it exposes any business information to any security holes in a VPN system. The script kiddies and hackers/crackers would just LOVE this. :P
(Please understand this is NOT a personal attack but a criticism of the idea as presented.)

The probable cause and Illegal Search and Seizure issues should definitely get this to the Supreme Court ASAP.

I have no idea what the gov't would do with this information and frankly there is so much for them to go thru already that potentially important things are being missed in the sea of information. That was one of the points made by the 9/11 Commission Report.
