Tricky question by Hieraco 2008-02-13 05:19:46
Military has more `wiggle room' on things like punishments and extra duties and the like.
Is the extra tasking that he assigned something that you should reasonably be expected to know at your Trade level? or is this on par with asking a pay clerk to rebuild the engine of an M1? if the former, then I'd say that you need to use your resources (training cadre, co-workers etc) to get up to speed and get the tasking done. If the latter, then I'd say that the boss is lining you up to fail so that he can chew your a3.

One thing I did learn in my career is if you are offered the choice between charge parade and extra duties, you are often best to take the charge. It usually means that they don't have anything to make a charge stick and want you to accept the `lesser' punishment willingly and quietly. (There is a long story , or two, to this lesson, but I wont' relate them here)
