| I have a pair of 2kVA UPS units sitting next to my electrical panel. They cover my network rack, cable modem, VoIP TA, and my main PC. They also cover the lights here in the basement (it gets DARK down here when the power goes out). I have outlets extended to my office, telecom rack, and POP cabinet for this purpose. I must have the power cord for my LCD monitor plugged into the UPS outlet behind my desk - I just tripped a breaker (two heaters + printers + other crap on one circuit = overload). My MMPC went down as did the audio for it (didn't check to see if the monitor was on or not - I was not watching anything so it was blank anyway). I was reading a UF post, and never lost the monitor. |
